About the event
The Sickle Cell 5K Walk/Run In Memory of Bernest Brown hosted by Senator Monica R. Martinez will be held on September 15th, 2019 at 9:00 AM! Families, runners of all abilities & walkers are welcomed to this beautiful venue to celebrate Bernest Brown and support Sickle Cell Awareness.
All proceeds will go to Mount Sinai’s Sickle Cell Anemia Research Division, who is making strides in the race to find a cure.
Senator Martinez’ Sickle Cell 5K Walk/Run is the only race on Long Island focused on Sickle Cell Anemia research and awareness!
Join us after the race for Awards and Beer Tasting, Hosted by Blue Point Brewing Company!
