The Golden Mile - Columbus, GA

Join us for the 1st annual Golden Mile in partnership with Goldens' Foundry and Scofflaw Brewing on the same day as the Kentucky Derby!

When: Saturday, May 4th, 2024 Distance: 1 Mile Time: Different age groups starting every half hour beginning at 2pm-6pm Age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Where: Scofflaw Brewing (1421 6th Avenue) Details: Who can run the fastest mile in Columbus?? A flat one mile race down 6th Avenue will determine the winners! We'll start the first age group at 2pm and continue every half hour until 6pm. We'll hang out at Scofflaw afterwards to watch the Kentucky Derby! Registration includes: T-Shirt, beer, food cooked on Golden grills. Awards: Awards for overall top finishers and age group winners. Contests: BEST Kentucky Derby hat! and BEST May the 4th Be With You Star Wars costume. Optional horse "betting": Receive a race buck by registering. Receive more bucks for winning your age group or placing overall. Also receive bucks for beer and food purchasing.  Do not have to run to obtain bucks for betting. More bucks you get the more horses you can pick.  Winners will receive gift cards.

Packet Pick-Up: Saturday starting at 1pm on race day up to 15 minutes before first race starts and 15 minutes prior to age group heat starts.

Come hang out and watch human races then stay and cheer on your horse in the the most exciting 3 minutes in sports!
