The Greenville News Run Downtown

The 42st annual Greenville News Run Downtown 5K is one of the oldest, largest and most-popular 5K runs in the state. The run/walk is presented by The Greenville News and Greenville Track Club. It is also a GTC Corporate Shield event and is a part of the Greenville Track Club running series.

The certified race course will begin in front of Soby's Restaurant, head down South Main Street, wrap back toward North Main Street and end with a finish line in front of The Greenville News building.

WHO: Runners, walkers, families….and anyone who loves cold weather!

WHAT: The kick-off event for the 2020 running season in  Greenville, S.C.

WHEN: Saturday, January 18, 2020

Friday (January 17) Packet Pickup... 11:00 am-6:00 pm at Academy Sports on Woodruff Rd

Race-day schedule:

7:00 a.m. - 8:00 am: Late registration/Late packet pick-up
9 a.m. - 5K Race Start

9:45 a.m. - Kid's Run Star

10 a.m. - Post-race event

Registration on January 17 and Day of Race, January - $40.00
