The history of the race goes back 20 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a small friendly marathon and experience the grassroots of the running culture in Iceland. The event offers two distances: half marathon and a marathon. The race is mainly on asphalted paths that take you through the beautiful Elliðaárdalur and Fossvogsdalur valleys in the heart of Reykjavik. The path almost all flat with some small slopes on the way. If you are a runner and coming to Iceland in October you should not miss this race.
