The SoCal Pirate Run

Ships Ahoy. Plan to be a part of our pirate invasion at THE PIRATE'S RUN 5K /10K on Saturday, June 20, 2020. BLING. BLING. PLUS raffles and course awards. Staying together-apart in our first comeback race.  We have a really creative custom designed ship medal and a custom pirate's shirt in soft material.  One of a kind.  And one of a kind times.  We are having to adjust the event to abide by State mandated regulations.  We were just notified that the State Parks are choosing to not have organized events in the park for the month of June. SO, here is our creative alternative:

We still want a competition.  We still want motivation and camaraderie.  We still want rewards and awards for being active.  We still want every BODY Up n Running , including us. SO... We are going to do a virtual competition in two ways.  Join one or the other or both.  Pick up your bling  (bib,shirt, medal)  at Roadrunner Sports on Friday, June 19 from 3:00 to 6pm.  Or Saturday, June 20 from 10am to noon.  Or have your BLING mailed right to your home.  Then go run the course, or virtually run anywhere in the USA.  If bling mailed to you will arrive by Friday, June 19. 

To RUN or WALK.  Do your own virtual run and input your time. Or  DO THE ACTUAL COURSE (at BOLSA CHICA STATE PARK)  and be eligible for age division awards.  TIMES must be posted by 11 am on Saturday.  A VIRTUAL ZOOM Awards party will take place at 12:00 NOON (pacific standard time) . If you won an age division award , you can opt to pick up at Roadrunner Sports any time through July 3 (awards at the cash register) or have it mailed to you. ($7 mailing  fee) 

ALSO,  IN ADDITION.  We have a STAY ACTIVE event:  Join" THE PIRATE'S Life for Me JUNE MILEAGE CHALLENGE".  Join the 50 mile challenge. (Earn an extra medal)  AND the 100 MILE challenge. (earn a medal rack and extra medal)  And the most mileage challenge.  Top ten win extra medal, medal rack, and a trophy!  

Aye. Aye, Captain! Age division and overall awards presented and the BEST EVER custom cast finisher medal for all. Hey mates! we’ll also be raffling off a few hidden treasures.  Wear your best pirate's attire or wear our event pirate's shirt for the ZOOM party.  Noon on Saturday, June 20, 2020

1-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80&over

PARKING:  If you want to go run the course on your own

PARKING at BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH is $15. You may wish to carpool. To enter into BOLSA CHICA STATE BEACH go in the main gate on PCH and drive the furthest EAST to the very last parking lot. The course starts on the bike path in Lot 25 closet to the famous Jack In the Box on the corner of Warner and PCH.  You can park in lots south of PCH and run the bike path. Practice safe and proper social distancing. And whatever single use persons are required to abide by at the State Park. Note:  That you are running on your own.  There are NO organized events allowed at the State Parks in June.
