Triple Creek Color Dash

EVENT DESCRIPTION
The Triple Creek Color Dash 5K and 1 mile fun run/walk is back! We have joined forces with the Three Rivers Water Festival again and will be hosting our colorful fun 5K run and 1 mile Fun run/walk on Saturday June 16th at 9:00 am during the weekend of the festival. The race will start and end at Scidmore Park, Three Rivers, Michigan. This is not a timed race; we encourage runners and walkers to take their sweet time going through the color stations and have fun!

The start of the race will be at Scidmore Park, corner of Spring Street and Millard Street (next to the old hospital).

BEFORE THE RACE: Prior to the race runners are invited to a pancake breakfast at the Three Rivers Fire Department starting at 7:00am (additional cost). We will also host a Pre-race ZUMBA warm-up, starting at 8:20 am

DURING THE RACE: Along the route runners will be dusted with color! The 1 mile Fun Run group will be colored at three intersections while the 5K runners will be colored at six different intersections. Both groups should be prepared to get covered in color!!

POST RACE: All runners are invited to stay after the race for a massive color throw!! As runners and walkers cross the finish line they will be given their own individual color packets to be thrown during our post race color throw! Color throw Extravaganza will begin at 9:55 am! You won't want to miss this!

New this year! Post race MASSAGES!!! Work out those kinks and tight muscles with complimentary post race massages by a Certified Massage Therapist.

THREE RIVERS WATER FESTIVAL: The Water Festival is celebrating its 62nd Anniversary with a "TR Gets Fit" theme! Come join in on the fun! There will be plenty of Water Festival festivities to partake in after the race including an arts and crafts show, Kids Zone in Scidmore Park, car show in downtown Three Rivers, fireworks at dusk, and many more activities.For a complete list of Water Festival events go to www.trchamber.com.

RUNNING FOR A CAUSE: Proceeds from this year's Triple Creek Color Dash will be going towards the Three Rivers Health Cardiac Rehabilitation Scholarship Fund. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States. Education, intervention, and risk factor modification are essential in saving lives. Cardiac Rehabilitation has been proven to decrease the risk of recurring cardiac events and decrease mortality rates. Our scholarship funds are used for those who need Cardiac Rehabilitation and may not be insured or need assistance with co-pays and deductibles. Our goal is provide our nationally certified program to members of our community who would otherwise not be able to afford to participate.

CHILDREN: Children five years and under are free. They must be with a registered adult. A t-shirt and/or color packet can be purchased for them under the STORE tab at the top of the page. Strollers are allowed, just remember we will be throwing color so bring towels to clean off!
