THE VALOR 5K
VALOR… though it is intangible, it is quite measureable. VALOR means “great courage in the face of danger.” The VALOR 5K, formerly known as the Trooper Manion Memorial 5K & Kids Mile, is a 5K run that honors ALL public safety and military personnel. There are many people throughout this great country who exemplify the meaning of VALOR every day- police officers, fire fighters, military personnel, and so many more. We wanted to take what was started with the Trooper Manion Memorial 5K & Kids Mile, and broaden it to ALL those who serve and sacrifice. We all know someone who serves, or has served in Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue, and our Armed Forces. They are a special breed of people, putting their service above self. We dedicate this event to ALL of those who have served, or continue to serve. It is said, “In Valor There is Hope”. No truer words can be said about our first responders and military, and the hope that lies with those in need of valor in times of strife and tragedy.
The VALOR 5K will take place ON the runway of the Winchester Regional Airport located at 491 Airport Road Winchester, VA 22602. The course will be flat and fast!
