We Can Be Heroes 5k and Kids Fun Run

The well-marked 5k course starts and finishes at the Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus Athletic Field and winds through some of the city's most beautiful residential neighborhoods. One water/aid station will be located along the course. The Kids Fun Run will take place on the NFA Track. All participants are invited to enjoy a complementary brunch after the race! 

Online registration ends at 5:00pm on May 1st!

Race Day registration will open at 7:30 AM on May 3rd.

We’re big believers in everyday heroes and encourage YOU to be the hero of your own story. Dress up and race as your favorite hero - personal hero, superhero, the sky is the limit! If costumes aren't your thing, we encourage you to wear bright colors.

Proceeds from the We Can Be Heroes 5k and Kids Fun Run will benefit Fearless! Hudson Valley, Inc. (formerly known as Safe Homes of Orange County). Our mission is to build an informed, just, and accountable society so all people can experience supportive and safe relationships free from abuse, exploitation, and oppression. We do this by education, prevention, advocacy, and providing comprehensive services, including shelter, to victims and survivors of interpersonal violence, human trafficking, sexual violence, and other types of crime victimization.
