West Georgia Track Club Road Race

On March 11, 2017 the second running of the West Georgia Track Club Road Race will occur. This race will consist of a 5k and 10k that will showcase the Carrollton Greenbelt.  

* All fees are non-refundable
* No guarantee of shirt or shirt size with race day registration
* Our apologies but for the safety of all participants no skates or pets are permitted on the course during the race

Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration will be the morning of race from 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Race Start: 8:00 A.M.

Awards:
Cash Prize will be given to first and second place male and female overall finishers.

Overall awards will be given to the top male and female overall and top male and female master finishers. Division awards will be given to the top 2 male and female finishers in the following divisions: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over, and Physically Challenged

Weather Policy

Thunder and lightning cutoff is 8:45 for race to start at 9:15 Race will be cancelled if lightning continues after 8:45.
Weather alert Green = all clear, Yellow = Caution, Red = race delayed, Black = Race is cancelled
In the event of inclement weather please adhere to the following:

10K Race Course

The 5K and 10K start and finish on Tom Reeves Drive. The 5K heads out on a downhill along the Carrollton Greenbelt and turns around back along the Carrollton Greenbelt leading to an uphill finish. The 10K heads out on the same downhill as the 5k and splits just after mile 1. The course winds through residential neighborhoods and passes along a scenic section in front of the University of West Georgia. The course then winds through the woods along the Sunset Hills section of the Carrollton Greenbelt and rejoins the 5K course for an exciting uphill finish. 

Both the 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified, which means they are Peachtree Road Race qualifiers. Join us in Greenway's parking lot before the race to pick up your race bibs and t-shirts. After the race, come grab some refreshments from the refreshment tent. Stick around for awards and raffles.
