About the event
This is a run/walk 5K sponsored by the West Virginia University Occupational Therapy Program. For those who are not sure what Occupational Therapy is, it is a profession that is involved with anyone who has a mental, physical or emotional issue that is affecting his or her quality of life. Occupational Therapy uses a holistic approach that addresses all aspects of a client’s life to aide in achieving the highest level of independence and getting them back to or establishing their daily routines. All proceeds of this 5K will go to helping out a local charity and helping occupational therapy students attend the national occupational therapy conference in Chicago, Illinois where they will attend lectures and further their educations on being great occupational Therapists.
Awards: To be given to top 3 male and top 3 female finishers.
Participants: Everyone ages 12+ is invited to participate in the Run/Walk. Individuals with wheelchairs and strollers are welcome as well, hills are involved! No pets. Activities will be provided for children of all ages during and after the Run/Walk. Run/Walk will take place rain or shine! T-Shirts are available for order, dealine for T-Shirts is Feburary 25th
