WHEELIN' TO WALL Saturday

Gravel Grinder Long Course: If you can stand to hear nothing but the lonely sound of wind blowing through the spokes of your wheel, then the long course is for you. This ride starts and ends in Wall and saves the sweetest views for the end. Self serve aid stations on the course will provide water and snacks. A map of the course and detailed directions will guide you along gravel, mixed-surface and sometimes two-track roads past open fields and ranches, all the while under wide-open skies. The heart of the course passes spectacular formations on and around Badlands National Park. Wet weather affects course surface and event management will provide alternate course options. This course is under permit with the USFS and Badlands National Park.

Course Estimated Ride Time  6 - 8 hours

Gravel Grinder Short Course:  THis 35 miles and with half pavement and half gravel/dirt is a perfect introduction to getting off the paved path. You will start off with pavement for the first half of your ride.  The second half you will be below the Badlands Wall on the dirt two-track taking in beauty and solitude.   There is no single track and this course is not technical.  Wet weather affects course surface and event management will provide alternate course options.  This course is under permit with the USFS and Badlands National Park.

Pavement Full Forty:  The rugged heart of the Badlands is Hwy 240.  Cycling the entirety of Hwy 240 is definitely a challenging ride due to descending and climbing the Badlands Wall several times. Two aid stations and restrooms on the course will provide you comfort and ease for your journey.  Cell phone coverage is fair to good throughout course.  Feel free to cycle out and back any distance if you want some added spin time and want to forgo the shuttle shuffle.

Total distance 38 miles.  Start downtown Wall and end at Badlands Trading Post & Gas Station Exit 131 of I90 (Shuttle recommended for this course).

Pavement Thirty Something:   If this is a first organized ride for you, this course is a perfect option for conquering your “fear of distance”.  Total Distance 31 mi. Two Aid Stations and restrooms available on this course.  Start in Wall and end at the Ben Reifel Visitor Center in Badlands National Park. (Shuttle recommended for this course.)

WHEELIN' TO WALL SUNDAY

Sunday Gravel Poker Run:  The Cheyenne River Breaks offer sweeping views and awesome hills.  Anderson Hill should challenge the best rider to ascend without dismounting.  This 33 mile ride begins and ends in Wall.

Sunday Pavement Poker Run:  Country roads take you north and east of Wall.  Midway the Badlands are in your sights to the distant south.  A sweet ride to cap off your weekend.  There is one mile of Interstate at the end. This 28 mile ride begins and ends in Wall.
