Experience the thrill of WINTER BAY Backyard Ultra, the race in central Stockholm with a start and finish near Liljeholmens T-bana! The first edition saw an enthusiastic response from runners, with 240 participants registered and 180 starting the race. The winner, Mai, completed a staggering 41 loops to be awarded a spot in the Swedish National Team at the Backyard Ultra World Cup in October of 2022.The second edition was held with fewer participants, yet the fantastic atmosphere created an unforgettable weekend. The winner, Szilard Fodor from Hungary, completed an amazing 30 loops to earn a 'Silver Ticket' to the Swedish National Team in the Backyard Ultra Satellite World Cup.
The course, which traverses around the picturesque lake Trekanten, takes you past the stunning Vinterviken and back to Trekantsparken.
Every element of the race goes towards the charity initiative Run4Diabetes in support of Barndiabetesfonden, the Swedish Child Diabetes Foundation. Last year they raised an incredible 23.433 SEK!
So come and join us for this truly unique experience!

Course highlights
Backyard Ultra means that you run a 6.7 km route (loop) with a new start every hour. All participants start at the same time every full hour & you must start every hour to stay in the race. To get a result you must finish a loop within one hour. The winner is the runner who alone completes a loop within one hour - last one standing!
