Join us for the 4th Annual Yellow Stairway Virtual 6K/12K and a new addition of a 6Hr/12Hr Virtual Challenge! Due to COVID our race is being held virtually in 2021, but of course we plan to provide unique race distances to reflect the legacy of our namesake.
All individuals who register for any 2021 race distances will receive a race medal, shirt, rally towel and swag! Please note, to ensure all racers receive the proper shirt sizes, there may be a delay in your swag bag delivery
NEW FOR 2021: Yellow Stairway 6 Hour/12 Hour Challenge
All individuals who sign up for either the Yellow Stairway 6 Hour or 12 Hour Challenge must complete this event between Friday, May 7 and Sunday, May 9 by 11:59 p.m. PST. All 6 Hour participants during that May 7-9 time frame will have 6 hours to run, walk or roll as many miles as possible in that 6 hour timeframe. You can only complete miles on one day. No miles collected before or after that timeframe will be accepted. All 12 Hour participants will have 12 hours to run, walk or roll as many miles as possible in that 12 hour timeframe. You can only complete miles on one day. No miles collected before or after that timeframe will be accepted. For the 6 Hour/12 Hour Challenge, participants do not need to be moving constantly and are allowed to take breaks to eat, sleep and rest. Participants can either run your GPS device for the entire segmented time or restart your watch/GPS every run/walk/roll session.The Yellow Stairway team will look at your timed segments to ensure you followed rules. (Example: if you start your run at 6 a.m. on May 8 and you are a 6 hour challenge participant, you will only have the ability to collect miles between 6 a.m. and noon.) All 6 Hour/12 Hour participants must upload their miles and GPS file/files to RunSignUp to show proof of mileage. Special awards will be mailed to the top male and female athletes in both divisions, in addition to overall rider athletes with the most miles in both divisions.
