Stanley Biwott (1:03:15) bested thousands including many of the world’s top runners over the weekend to win the 16th annual Media Maraton de Bogota in Columbia.
Tadesse Tola was the only other runner to come in under an hour and five minutes, finishing second with a time of 1:04:49.
Coming in third for a third year in a row, Kimutai Kiplimo crossed the finish line at 1:05:14.
In the women’s race, the top three places were decided by 11 seconds, with Amane Gobena (1:13:44) beating out Shure Demise (1:13:47).
Gobena finished third in 2013.
Sharon Cherop came in just a few seconds later at 1:13:55.
