1,924 runners participated in the first edition of the Helsinki Half Marathon. 1,435 finished the inaugural edition of the race. The course went through the streets of the capital of Finland and along its seaside.
Ole Antti HALONEN won the men’s race in 01:12:26. The second and third place went to Ilari AHOKAS (01:12:51) and Jarno MAIMONEN (01:15:17).
In the ladies race, Suvi MIETTINEN took the lead with a time of 01:20:05. She finished 4 minutes before Minna SYVÄLÄ (01:24:04). Elina JUNNILA finished third in 01:25:45.
