Richard McDowell bested more than 400 runners at the Surrey Badger Half Marathon in England to take first with a time of 1:20:34.
Runner-up Dylan Matthews, the only other participant to come in under an hour and 25 minutes, maneuvered the hilly, multi-terrain trek through and around Denbies Vineyard of Dorking in 1:23:52.
Third-place finisher Neil Fraser just missed the mark at 1:25:15.
For the women, it was Laura Hales (1:36:59) legging out first place by 20 seconds over Valeria Gasparini (1:37:19).
Third place saw an even tighter race with Camilla West (1:39:15) finish just seconds ahead of Gayle Bamis (1:39:18) to make the podium.
