Marathon results
Tujuba Beyu Megersa (2:09:55) bested nearly 8,300 runners to win the 32nd Firenze Marathon in Florence, Italy.
John Kipkorir Komen secured second with a time of 2:11:58.
Oukhrid Lhoussaine (2:12:04) rounded out the top three.
For the women, it was Priscah Jepleting Cherono (2:31:34) coming in first.
Earning runner-up honors was Lydia Jerotich Rutto at 2:34:27.
In a tight race for third, Emma Quaglia (2:36:00) finished just ahead of Jane Onyangi Moraa (2:36:39).
