Results: Mengich sets personal best in Berlin

Half Marathon results

Richard Mengich (59:58) shaved a second from his personal best to win the 36th annual Berliner Halbmarathon.
More than 31,500 runners completed Germany’s largest and fastest half marathon.
Mengich finished fourth a year ago with a time of 59:59.
Third in 2014.
Simon Tesfaye secured second in this year’s race with a time of 1:01:00.
He finished tenth in 2015.
Emmanuel Ngatuny (1:02:07) notched third place just ahead of Arne Gabius (1:02:45).


For the women, it was Elizabeth Cherono (1:10:43) edging Susan Jeptoo (1:10:49) for the top spot.
Agnieszka Mierzejewska (1:11:41) made it in less than a minute later for third.
