Race 1 – 5km

Early Registration – $15.00 – Through 05/19/17 till 4pm


Day of Race Registration - $20.00


There will be no registration refunds


Race 2 - Half Marathon

Early Registration – $25.00 – Through 04/30/17


Regular Registration – $30.00 – 05/01/17 through 05/19/17 till 4pm


Day of Race Registration - $40.00


There will be no registration refunds


Runner Amenities
Shirts

Shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 people who register; sizes are not guaranteed.  All runners registering after the first 100 people will receive shirts based on availability.  Shirts are a cotton/dri-fit blend. 


Goodie Bags

All participants will receive a goodie bag with giveaways and vendor/sponsor handouts.  


 
Race Awards
Half Marathon Overall Awards

Overall Awards will be presented as follows:


Men – 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place
Women – 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place


 


Masters Awards

Masters Awards will be presented to participants over 40 years of age as follows:


Men 1st Place, 2nd Place


Women- 1st Place, 2nd Place


 
Age Group Awards – 10 Year Intervals

Age group awards will be presented to the top three men and the top three women in the following age groups: 12 and under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 Plus


Runners will only receive one award:  overall, masters, or an age group award.  Placements for awards are based on gun time, not chip time unless otherwise noted. Winners of cash prizes (if any) must have completed all college eligibiilty and will be required to provide the social security number and complete a W-9 form.  All awards must be claimed by the award winner or their designee at the awards ceremony following the conclusion of the race.   Awards will not be mailed or saved.   Participants not able to attend the awards ceremony can arrange for a friend or family member to pick up their award for them. 


PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO AWARDS FOR THE 5K.


Race Course

Race course for the 5km and Half Marathon will be added shortly but run on base.   There will be water stations and restrooms on the course and at the finish line.


Half Marathon will be run on the NAS Jax runway and on the base. The 5km course will not be run on the runway.

Day Of Race Event Schedule

90 minutes to 15 minutes prior to the start of the race – Packet, Bib, & Chip Pickup


90 minutes to 30 minutes prior to the start of the race – Day of Race Registration

Packet Pickup
Pre-Race Packet Pickup

There will be pre-race packet pick up Thursday 5/18 & Friday 5/19 at the Base gym (Building 614) from 0900-1800. Jill Sheppard will be the other race contact Jill.Sheppard@navy.mil 904-542-3225, All participants must have base access to participate in this race. The address to the base is 6801 Roosevelt Blvd. Jacksonville FL 32212.


Day Of Race Packet Pickup

Participants not able to make packet pickup prior to the race may pickup their packets at the race during the times listed on the Event Schedule. Dewey’s Restaurant, located directly across from the NAS base gym on Gillis Street.  This will also be the start and finish location.


Participants may pickup their packets at the race during the times listed on the Event Schedule.


Chip Timing

The race will be chip timed using a shoe chip system.   Chips will be distributed at the packet pickup.   All runners must cross the mat at the finish line with their chip properly attached to their shoe to score in the race.  Chips must be returned at the conclusion of the race at the finish line.   Runners not returning chips will be charged a fee of $30.  


Race Information

Race times and dates are subject to change without notice at any time for any reason. In the event the race time or date is changed or if the race is cancelled, for any reason, there will not be any refunds under any circumstances.   Race entries can not be transferred to other participants or other races in the event a participant can not attend.   Once the race registration is made, the transaction if final.    In the event of bad weather every effort will be made to conduct the race, however it may be moved to an alternate date, time, or cancelled within hours of the starting time. Please be sure to check the PRS Race Timing website and Facebook page for updates prior to departing to the race for any last minute changes or instructions.   Registration by the participant constitutes agreement to the above.
