Cafecito Caliente wishes to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the 2nd Annual Cafecito Caliente 5k Run/Walk on Lansing’s south side. The race highlights include running the River Trail which this part of the course is mostly shaded and was well received at the 2018 event.
The course starts at Maguire Park and continues into Hawk Island. The scenery changes into the woods next to the water on the parks west side of Lansing’s River Trail. One mile into the park is the turnaround and finishes back at Maguire Park.
Upon completing the course, runners can partake in having pan dulce (sweet Mexican bread) and coffee both freshly made to perfection!
