The Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10k road race is traditionally held in New Orleans on the Saturday before Easter Sunday each year. The Classic is locally produced by a not-for-profit 5013c entity, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation and is a great way to get in shape while having fun! The Crescent City Classic made the hard decision to produce a virtual CCC10K this year due to COVID restrictions. We hope to provide an avenue for our runners and walkers to continue their fitness routines and virtually participate until we can run and walk together again.
WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL CCC10K?
It’s a way to experience the fun and excitement of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic in your own neighborhood!
You pick the course & the time, and reach your personal fitness goals.
You’ll receive your t-shirt, racing bib, and earn your commemorative finisher medallion. You can even donate to charity!
USE OUR OFFICIAL COURSE OR YOUR OWN: The Virtual CCC10K can be done ANYWHERE! You can either walk, run, or use a treadmill, etc. in order to complete the 10K virtually. Use one of our 10K courses or a course of your own. Track your miles through the RaceJoy app or use your own smart watch or other running app and submit your time on our website. You can complete your 10K anytime between 4/1/21 and 4/5/21. Instructions with details on the RaceJoy app and other ways to submit your virtual results will be sent to you by email before the event begins on 4/1/21.
WHO BENEFITS FROM THIS EVENT: Choose to register as a RUN FOR IT charity runner and help raise funds for your favorite charity! Charity runners will receive their own unique fundraising page to share with family and friends! Our 2021 charity partners are listed for you to choose from during registration. Those who register as RUN FOR IT participants are required to raise a minimum of $100 for their charity.
WHAT DO I RECEIVE WITH MY REGISTRATION: All registrants will receive a commemorative CCC10K t-shirt, finisher’s medal and digital bib.
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY PACKET: Participants have a choice of either local pick-up or shipping in order to receive their shirt, finisher’s medal and commemorative bib.
SHIPPING OPTION: Participants can choose to have their packets shipped during registration for a cost of $10 for shipping and handling. Packets will be mailed after registration has closed on 4/5/21.
GENERAL REGISTRATION LOCAL PICK-UP: Local participants will have packet pick-up on Thursday 4/8/21 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the CCC office located at 320 Metairie Hammond Hwy. Our building is located in Bucktown near R&O’s Restaurant and has a bead dog in the front. You will enter the first-floor parking garage located on Seminole Ave. Drive through the garage/around the horseshoe and your packet will be given to you through the passenger side window to maintain social distancing.
CHARITY REGISTRATION LOCAL PICK-UP: Run For It Charity participants should contact their Charity Administrator for dates and times for their Local Pick-Up.
TOP 500: Those participants that would like the chance to qualify for the Top 500 Men and Top 500 Women must submit their times through the Race Joy application. Race Joy specific instructions will be sent to participants at a later time in an email from the CCC. Participants will not “qualify” if they only submit their times through RunSignUp.
Top 500 winners will be able to pick up their posters beginning Monday 4/12/21 at Louisiana Running + Walking Co located at 4153 Canal St NOLA 70119. You will be able to pick up from the store anytime during their regular business hours. Top 500 winners who want their posters shipped will incur an additional $5 shipping fee.
