The Heroes for Children 5K and Family Fun Walk will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the South Mountain Recreation Complex’s Clipper Pavilion (between the playground the paddle boats) in West Orange (rain or shine). Join your neighbors, community and friends for a fun-filled day and help us raise awareness about child abuse and neglect in New Jersey and learn about the difference local Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) and Multidisciplinary Teams (MDTs) make in a child’s life. The Heroes for Children 5K (USATF-Certified) & Family Fun Walk will help raise funds for NJCA and CACs and MDTs in all 21 counties through registration fees and sponsorships.
On September 15, 2018, registration and packet pick up begin at 7:30am; events begin at 9:00am. Medals will be awarded to the top runners in each age group. Superhero costumes are encouraged! Following the 5K and Fun Walk, join us for music, face painting, crafts, and other activities. Afterwards, take a walk to the Turtle Back Zoo or the playground. Receive $5 admission to the Turtle Back Zoo, Codey Arena, and miniGOLF Safari on the day of the event with proof of registration.

The 5k run is a disposable chip timed event.
This event is not timed. Family discounts up to 5 household members is $50 per family. A Team can be created for $150 from 2-15 people.
